If the same pupils use the same computers each time, then you need to create
a profile for each of them within Outlook. The email account settings can
be identical for each user, pointing to the relevant file areas on the
server. That should cover it.
If it's not the same PC each time then in theory you would have to create a
profile for each user on each machine they were likely to access.
Or use Exchange Server?

Linda they do have a place on the server which is their own but the problem
is
having outlook give them the e-mail configuration as they log in. When they
login to the computer they get a desktop that is set up for them by me and
not a personalized one. In fact we have a "hard drive protector" which
prevents them changing any parameters on the local computer. The files they
save are saved on the server in their name and only they have access to
these
files.
I may be missing something but I don't see how to configure Outlook for
common
usage. Maybe I should build a pst file that is included in their login
script
as I do for mapped drives that everybody needs? Can this be done? How?
