[mso] Re: spreadsheet to html converter wanted

Hi Tina...if you are talking about all the font formatting and cell padding,
etc. that Excel puts in the code if you copy some cells in Excel and paste
them into your FP page, I'm sorry to tell you that I don't believe there is
a way to clean it up "within Excel".  Excel is no better than Word when it
comes to producing html code....and just like Word can't fix it for you,
neither can Excel.  You will have to clean it up yourself within FP, or
maybe someone knows some add-in or something that can help you, but I don't
know of one....if there's one out there, I'd sure love to find it....right
now, when I paste Excel data into my web pages, I have to use FP's Find and
Replace to clean it up.

It's a drag cuz Excel has this wonderful utility when you save spreadsheets
as web pages...it allows you to make the data in the spreadsheet interactive
so people can actually manipulate the data in the cells on the web
page....but dang, you should see all the garbage code you get when you do
THAT!!

I need a addon or software preferably free to convert an excel spread sheet
into html  WITHOUT inline styles or any other type of script .... preferably
the app would use a embedded or external css sheet.

It's not for me but people I'm helping.....it's beginning to bug me that
they think it's FrontPage's fault ...

An export to paste (even special) leaves the formatting as is.... I need
something that is going to strip that stuff out and just leave the table
with the content in straight html ....maybe with the css as embedded or
external.

I never use excel so don't know the places to look.
