[mso] problem with formulas appearing on spreadsheet.

  I am using XP Pro and Office 2000 premium, working on a multi-worksheet 
programme that has been developed over a couple of years.
   
  I am now entering into a cell which has a formula, and the formula is exposed 
in the cell and becomes corrupted if I move the cursor to another cell.
   
  What I have done to make this happen I do not know. I have checked that the 
submenu in the tools menu, reads manual calculation, which has not made any 
difference.
   
  I am sure it is something quite simple but, I have having difficulty tracking 
it down.
   
  Any advice would be appreciated.
