[mso] Re: powerpoint question

David,

Once you have saved the template, open the next presentation and go to
View--> Task Panes. Change to the slide design task pane. At the bottom =
of
the task pane is a link/ button for "Browse". Use that to open the =
template
you just saved. The designs should show in the top of the task pane. =
Click
the button for your new design and it will apply to all of the slides. =
Save
the presentation. Open the next one and repeat the process. After two or
three uses, you will see your template show up in the Recently used =
section
of that task pane. Once you get to that point, you can just open each
presentation, click to apply the template, and re-save the presentation.

Now, if you want to be totally clean about what you are doing, you can =
go to
View Master for each of the presentations and delete the old masters =
once
you have applied the new ones.

Does that make sense?

Kathryn

Thanks for getting involved.

I understand all you've said. We are 2003 sp2. Would you please provide
the instructions for applying my modified template.

Thanks again

dave

Dave,
Open one of the presentations and do View--> Master--> Slide Master. You
should be able to change the logos, etc. there on the master slide. =
Close
the Master View (there should be a button so that you can do that) and
you should see your changes.

Once you have done that, I would save a copy of the presentation, rip
out the slides, then save that as a template. You should be able to then
apply that template to all of the other presentations.

If you need detailed directions on applying the template to the other
presentations, let us know which version of PPT you are using. Versions
older than 2000 use one method, versions 2002 and 2003 use a second
method, and (just for completeness) 2007 will use a third method.
