[mso] Re: not a valid web archive?

Well...this error generally occurs when folks save off text from a web
site and try to filter out the HTML code to save the file as another
format.

By checking the web for the file name...it could be a German/Dutch???
Web site...a site about major league soccer or a net Celebrates page
with a ton of pictures of babes in slinky bathing suits?<lol> So WHAT
are you so desperate to open!<smirk>

Most likely, they have Office 2000...tried to convert the file and email
it and the filter isn't recognized right in XP cos' XP tries to convert
it with old hidden web code still in the file.

At least that's BEEN the cause in most cases. In either email (eml),
ascii (txt) or doc formats that fail.

All I can suggest is TRY to check it and see if THAT works? Or you can
pass it to me cos' I have all the versions and can try others????

Or...as the guy to ask the guy who sent it what it's supposed to be. If
it's a web page...bingo!

Open Word...go to Tools/Options/General and uncheck Confirm Conversion
on open...then open the file.

Someone in my office just forwarded me a word document that he can't
open (he wanted me to try)... when you try to open it it says "'sanches
net' is
not a valid web archive".  Anyone know what this means?   btw, 'sanches
net'
is the name of the file, 'sanches net.doc'.  thanks.
