Jamshed,
Do a search on your hard drive for any file with the extension .pst
You will probably find more than one - look for the largest and/or most
recently dated one. Note the exact file name and folder.
Start Outlook, choose File > Open (can't remember exactly how OL2000 does
this...), and navigate to the .pst file you noted earlier.
You *should* have all your OL data back again.
Regards

Subject: [mso] USER PROFILE
Dear Group:
USER PROFILE
I have WIN98 S.E. and had a use "Jamshed F. Mehta" and
a related password. I made a 2nd. user but subequently
deleted the same as I had 2nd. thoughts. However, I
cannot get back my "Jamshed F. Mehta" profile with all
the original settings. I do not remember if I , by
error, deleted anything.
My major problem is that I cannot get my original
"OUTLOOK 2000" data. As I am an optimist, I made no
backup of anything.
Hw can I go back to my original state of happiness?
Regards,
Jamshed.

Jamshed,
Are you speaking of an Outlook profile or a Windows
profile?
Regards
Dear Neil:
1.Because of the mess-up thru the WINDOWS
user/password subject, the OUTLOOK 2000 opens with a
blank - No Contacts, No Inbox etc.
2. I am not bothered about the other settings, but not
getting my my businss "Contacts Data" is a major loss
as I have to find all that again. Worse I have to
inform my family about the blunder and be sentenced to
silence.
Regards,
Jamshed.
