[mso] Re: mailmerge using excel and word

Have you tried using the: Numeric Picture (\#) field switch? On the merge f=
ield. Use the help and search on "numeric switch". In there it will describ=
e how to format a numeric merge field, you will get what you're after with =
using the "x" or decimal point.

Hope that helps...

I created a mail merge document for w-2 s. I built an excel spreadsheet wh=
ich included name, address, etc., and also included a series of numbers. =
Numbers were formatted to 2 decimal places.
The mail merge worked well on the text but my number values would not merge=
exactly as presented in excel. The numbers would be the correct number ex=
cept it would have 12 to 14 decimal places in it. =20

I tried making a new spread sheet, with same results. I tried making a new=
document, same results. What is causing this problem?

Please help.

Thanks, Russ
