I'm not sure what you mean, Bill...you have one file with separate sheets in
it for each name and you want to save each sheet as a separate file in the
same folder?  Is that what you mean?

I have made a membership ledger using an excel format....name, card number,
dues, debit, credit, balance.This goes along one line ie..A2, A3, A4 per
name and another sheet for another name etc.I want to put them into 1 folder
and when I go to the file, save
as...I try to put the different entries into the folder and it keeps
over-riding the previous name. Is there a trick to doing this.It is easy in
word to put things in a foldre but i can't find the trick in excel
