Mark,
Not exactly sure what you are trying to accomplish. I can tell you how
achieve the following using recipient polices.
1 Exchange on SBS 2003 set up for email using exchange.com or exchange.local
for the domain.
2. You need to create an account for user@xxxxxxxx
3. You want exchange to use this as the default address and have it show up
as the default address for the user in GAL.
4. You are going to be using Outlook that retrieves email from the exchange
server natively or using RPC/http.
Or do want to create the user with a different email domain and the email
delivered straight to the users email host (not on the exchange server?

Subject: [mso] default mail account on Outlook 2003-Exchange
XP Pro - Outlook 2003 SP2 - Exchange 2003 SP2 - SBS 2003 SP1
I have an ISP POP3 mail account and need to be on Exchange due to shared
calendars (no Exchange e-mail).
When Exchange is installed as an e-mail account, it won't let me change the
default to the POP3 account.
It pops up an error - An unknown error occurred, error code: 0x8004010b.
I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling everything, Googling and trying those
suggestions, M$ KB, etc, but nothing seems to work.
Thanks in advance.
Mark
