[mso] Re: check mark in Excel

All I can tell you is that it's there in 2002. Are you using adaptive
menus? If so, hover and wait for the full Insert menu to expand, then
look for Symbol. If all else fails, insert the symbol in a Word file,
then cut it and paste into an Excel cell. 

I assume this is what the original questioner wanted. If, however,
he/she wanted a box you can check and uncheck which will actually do
things, then that's a whole 'nother story, of course!
