[mso] accumulating values in Excel from another worksheet

I have a programme with several worksheets - the principle worksheet called
COSTBUILD

I wish to accumulate the values of several cells into another worksheet, and
the only way I can make it work is using the following formula

  =COSTBUILD!D176+COSTBUILD!D177+COSTBUILD!D178 and so on.

I am sure there must be a less labourious method and would appreciate any
tips.

  THanks
