Hi P...why use a Custom format?  Why not just click on the $ on your toolbar
or go to Format>Cells and choose Currency
Are you saying that when you choose Currency, the format you see is 1234,00
and not 1,234.10?  What happens when you click the $ on the toolbar?

Hello Group,

I'm trying to format a numeric cell in Xcel 97.  I'll explain by using an
example and break it down by asking questions in a serious of emails.

I want cell c6 to display $7,500.00

Right now it is displaying $7 500,00

Notice the comma is in the wrong place.  Why?  I went into help, it wasn't
any help.

The cell has a custom format on it right now. I want it to have a currency
format. The options for this are 1234,00

                            (1234,00) with each option printed in red and
black.

Any and all assistance appreciated.
