This is not a Word problem ... this is a Network problem ... contact your
Network Administrator or IT department and tell them you need permission for
this folder and it's subfolders.
This is off topic for this Microsoft Office group ... if you need more
information contact a Windows group. Good luck.

I have a folder in Shared Documents that seems to be write-protected, but
only from other network computers. I assume one of my former assistants who
was an MS expert did this. None of us here now know how to unprotect it.
Nochanges can be made to any files in any of the sub-folders except at the
host computer.
