[mso] Re: Word2003 Tiny Font in Help, No Local Help

Hi David,

Thanks for your continuing efforts on my behalf.

Yes, I had already done all that, but Office Online kept opening up when I
pressed F1. I did find the local Help system, however, by clicking on "Table
of Contents" in the Assistance section of the "Word Help" panel. So that
problem is now solved.

Next, in the local Help system, I found the "Changing the appearance of a Help
topic" info. See it copied below. The mouse wheel method you mentioned doesn't
work for me, but Internet Options in Control Panel does bring up Word's local
Help display in a reasonable (but fixed) font size.

It seems both of my original problems have been solved. I'll just have to get
accustomed to how all of this affects Internet Explorer. That can be a fading
problem, however, because I find I am using Firefox for most of my browsing
now anyway.

Best regards,

Ray Shapp

Changing the appearance of a Help topic

1.. In Windows XP Control Panel, click Network and Internet Connections, and
then click Internet Options.
In Windows 2000 Control Panel, double-click the Internet Options icon.

2.. On the General tab, click Accessibility, and then click Ignore colors
specified on Web pages.
  3.. Click OK.
4.. In the Internet Options dialog box, do one or both of the following:
Change the color of the background or text in Help

a.. On the General tab, click Colors, and then select the options you
want.
  Change the font in Help

a.. On the General tab, click Fonts, and then select the options you want.
Note If you change the font and background color of the Help topics in the
Help window, the change will also affect the font and background color when
you view a Web page in Microsoft Internet Explorer.
