Ray,
There is an easy way to do this. First, create a normal table of
contents using headings, styles or whatever you need to put in it. Then
copy the table of contents. Immediately insert a text box and right
click on the border to get the context menu. Choose format text box and
then clilck on the text box tab in the window that pops up. Click on
Convert to Frame and check Resize Autoshape to fit text. Then close
those dialogs and past your copied TOC into the frame. The TOC will
still work and when you convert it to a PDF the links are still working
also. You don't have to worry about links changing colors. Just tell
your readers that even though the TOC doesn't look like it has links, it
does.=20

Subject: [mso] Word2003 Hyperlinking to Bookmarks
To All,
Within a textbox in Word2003, I would like to create a "live" table of=20
contents for a newsletter . This newsletter exists online only. It does
not=20
exist as a paper document.
First I created a bookmark on the title of each article in the
newsletter.=20
Then I pasted the title of each article into a text box and created a=20
hyperlink on those titles to their associated bookmarks. This technique
works=20
as expected except for two problems:
The hyperlink changes color when the link is followed. The hyperlink
doesn't=20
work at all when I convert the document to PDF. (Note: hyperlinks that
are not=20
in text boxes do remain "live" when I convert the document to PDF.)
Please tell me the work-arounds for these two problems.
Thank you.
