Thank you. The file you recommended actually had been downloaded and run, although not shown in my original e-mail. I ran the wp6rtf.exe again from explorer. EULA appeared and files extracted. The feature does not show up in control panel as being installed. The *.WPS file when selected from explorer does not automatically convert. Now. If I select file open in Word2000, open the dropdown select file type, at the very bottom of the list is Works 6.0 *.WPS. If I select the Works 6.0 as the file type, the document will convert and open properly. Several steps not expected, but it does work.
