[mso] Word document from template from mac to pc

Hi 

Ive searched everywhere for a solutions and can find anything.

My problem is this:

I have a template with fields created on my mac osx using word mac 94, then
I use the template and fill in the fields and save as a word document.

I can open this fine on my computer but when I email it to my friends
computer which is a pc and has word. When she opens the document it comes up
with message: word cannot find mac40G/....templates/file.dot? Which is where
the template is saved on my mac. She clicks ok and it opens up ok.

I think word on the pc is trying to open the document and the template?

How can I stop it coming up with this.
