oops...sent this before I was finished. The best way I think, is to embed your object in Word and here's how I'd do it. Whever you want the Visio to be in Word, make a new blank page. Choose Insert/Object from the menu and be sure to check mark the Link to file option. Browse to the desired Visio object. The result is basically a linked graphic. I use styles but generally, center the object horizontally, then resize it so it's page size. When you change the Visio object, the changes will be reflected in Word. The only problems I've found with this is that large Visio objects need to be resized in Visio, otherwise they can often appear cropped when printed or viewed from Word. Hope this helps. /gl -----Original Message----- From: Glenda Wells Sent: Wednesday, May 01, 2002 1:36 PM To: 'mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' Subject: RE: [mso] Word and Visio You might try the Microsoft Office Binder to include your Visio pages into Word, although it's a bit buggy...I really don't recommend it. You might also save your Visio pages as graphics then include those in Word. This would provide proper page numbering and if you use Word Styles, could also allow you to create indexes and include Visio objects in the TOC. -----Original Message----- From: Colli, Anthony G [mailto:Anthony.Colli@xxxxxxx] Sent: Wednesday, May 01, 2002 12:41 PM To: MSO FreeLists (E-mail) Subject: [mso] Word and Visio Folks- I use MS Visio 2002 to create database schemas and ER diagrams. I use MS Word 2000 to create a design specification and proposal. When it comes time to put them together, I'll print them both out and slide the Visio documents into the Word document. Is there a way in Word to include the Visio documents? With a OLE control or something? -Anthony ************************************************************* PLEASE READ!!!! This is not S*P*A*M!
