[mso] Re: Word XP and Track Changes

Well, then Chris....if your IT dept. didn't let you have the ability to
detect and repair, then it's up to THEM to fix your software so it works
correctly, I guess.

Since I can't find anything that addresses disappearing rulers in Word,
I'd assume detect and repair would be the logical place to start. Or,
at least get the IT people to reinstall Word right over top of itself
for you?

Another possibility is this could be one of the bugs that was fixed with
the SP1 patch? Did your employer at least get that? If not, you might
want to suggest that...I found a few annoyances in Office XP were
corrected with the SP1 patch.

Thanks Linda, I'll look for that. I'm having some trouble with this
new track changes and I find I get easily frustrated with it.

I'd love to try detect and repair, except that my employer, in its
infinite wisdome, didn't install detect and repair on our computers.
And it can't be installed without the CDs, which we don't have.

I'll never understand bureaucracy.

Chris
