Hi All.

I've not had an opportunity to follow this particular thread but I was
thinking...couldn't a custom dictionary be created and only the acronyms
put in that dictionary then VBA written to find words just in that
specific dictionary?

just a thought... /g

Lisa,

I have not had a chance to try out your work, but I am grateful for your
verygenerous efforts. I had a thought about a way to discern the
difference between a word and an acronym: if the characters appear in
the spelling dictionary, could we conclude that the characters are not
an acronym? I don't know if there is a way to do this from within a
macro, but it was jsut a thought. As for the style question, I was
simply trying to avoid heading styles, some of which force all
characters to upper case.

I am really at a loss to express my gratitude for what you have already
accomplished. I had assumed that there would be some relatively simple
way to find acronyms through the search features available in Word. I
guess I was wrong! When I have a chance to use what you have done, I
will be happy to provide feedback. BTW, you said you are using a Dutch
version. Are you in Holland?

Thanks again,

Tony
