[mso] Re: Word Document Name or Path not Valid

Pam--Thanks for your insight into our file problem. We think the disk was
popped out before the save process was complete. But, is there a way to get
the file back? It was originally created on a Power Mac (but just barely-a
5500) using Word 98. We are trying to open it on a PC using Word 2000 from a
3.5 floppy. Thanks for your help so far.

Susan

Depending on the Mac version of Word, you may or may not be able to open it
in Word 2000. Also, where are you opening it from? A disk? A server? That
might make that message come up if it was saved incorrectly on a disk or
wasn't finished saving or the disk is not able to go between Mac and PC, it
might be able to read it. If the Mac is not a PowerPC (anything passed the
6200 for sure is) then files can't go between operating systems. Some more
info and maybe I can help more. 8-)
