Anne, I don't find a listing of Recently Used Templates in Word 2003. The only listing I have is Recently Opened Files. The number of items listed there is set in Tools --> Options --> General Tab. But, if you might be referring to the dialog box where Word lists your Templates on the General Tab and you only see 4 then maybe the following will help from Help in Word 2003 ---------------- The Templates folder By default, templates (including Normal.dot) are stored in C:\Documents and Settings\user name\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates. Template files that you save in the Templates folder appear on the General tab in the Templates dialog box, which you display by clicking New on the File menu, and then clicking On my computer in the New Document task pane. Any document (.doc) file that you save in the Templates folder also acts as a template. If you want to create custom tabs for your templates in the Templates dialog box, create a new subfolder in the Templates folder and save your templates in that subfolder. The folder location must match the path listed for User Templates on the File Locations tab (Tools menu, Options command). The name you give that subfolder will appear on the new tab. If you save a template in a different location, the template will not appear in the Templates dialog box. ------------- To test I copied a template (*.dot file) into my folder "C:\Documents and Settings\user name\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates" and the next time I opened Word the template was listed on the General Tab. So all you may need to do is copy your dot files into the "C:\Documents and Settings\user name\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates" folder. Is there any way of increasing this number to save me so many key strokes in my normal day! TIA. Anne -------------------------- Successful women can keep their feet on the ground.
