[mso] Word 2000 Inventing character?

I am transcribing some old wills and have noticed the word "and" is always
spelled starting at the superscript area, and slants downward at 45 degrees.
Is possible to make a symbol to represent this word? I wish I could include
a picture, but it looks like the writers of these wills turn the page 45
degrees and simply wrote "and" with the letters closer together. I counted
192 of these occurrences and would appreciate an easy to represent that if
possible.
Thank you.
Robert
