It appears you've inadvertently managed to get drawing image into the page
or most likely the header. You can't see it on the screen, but the printer
picks it up.
Click View > Header, Ctrl + A to select all and hit Delete...see if that
helps.
If not...then it's probably in the top layer.

I have a Word document in which a large white horizontal diamond on a black
background fills the entire screen, blocking all of my text and charts.
This only happens when I'm in the print layout view; when I go back to
normal view everything looks fine. (To illustrate what this looks like,
imagine taking a black sheet of paper with a large white diamond in the
middle and placing it over your monitor.)
Has anyone seen this and do you know how I fix it? There doesn't seem to be
anything else wrong with the document.
