Yep...as I said in my post...."along with Dian's instructions to try the

I know what the a/ switch does, Dian :-)

Linda, et al...

FYI...Before time is wasted moving around stuff in the startup, or
anywhere
else for that matter, I've suggested the /a switch because that DOES
stop
anything in the startup from being included into the program. By using
this
switch, you can usually, easily decipher where the problem lies without
spending time moving files around. If the /a switch works, THEN you go
find
out which one is the problem, because then you can be fairly sure that
the
cause is from an addin template containing code which is causing a
conflict.

If the switch doesn't make a difference, then the answer usually lies
with
the normal.dot, by either containing a corrupt macro, being corrupt in
some
other way, or containing a virus macro.

So before folks spend time moving around files, it's best to figure out
which end of the horse is sick.

The /a switch doesn't check macros. It's stops any 3rd party items from
being included with the program and thereby narrows down whether the
issue
is within the normal.dot (part of the program) or an added file.
