[mso] Updating graphic caption numbers in Word 2003

Hi all,

I have a document containing about 300 screen shot graphics (not a document
I created). The screen shots are JPG files and all have figure-number
captions; however, they don't seem to have been inserted using Word's
caption auto-numbering functionality. I've been asked to update the
document and don't know any way to update the figure caption numbers other
than changing each one manually. I know how to update captions if they had
been inserted using auto-numbering, but in this case I'd like to know if
there's any faster, more efficient way to change the numbers other than one
by one.

Thanks for any help.

Diane
