[mso] Re: Triple Indexing in same document using Word 2000 ?

Ooops! Responding to my own post. In my example, I left page numbers off
the example for "Employment / Pastime Index." I meant for it to look like
this instead:
Example Redone.

Employment / Pastime Index
COIN COLLECTING
     Tennessee
          Knoxville
              O'Scanlon, David....32
          Nashville
                Purcell, Richard.....81
FARMER
     Kentucky
          Christian County
              Markswell, Julian....87
              Runyon, William.....71
          Lees County
              Hawkins, James......93
              Nunnley, Joseph.....89
              Stillwell, William.....77
IBM
     Florida
          Boca Raton
              Dunsmore, Steve....213
              Livingsmill, Helena..109
     Texas
          Houston
              Anderson, Paul.......191

Well, I meant for the page numbers to line up as well.

Thanks, sorry for the repost.

Robert

Subject: [mso] Triple Indexing in same document using Word 2000 ?

Hello everyone.
I know how to make an Index in Word, say, of names of my ancestors in the
book. That is a little tricky, but doable.

What I do not know how to do is build two more indexes of a different
subject, without destroying the Name Index. In a nutshell I would like to
end up with an Index that looks like the below:
NAME INDEX
ANDERSON
     Aarron........23
     Denise.......88
     Thomas......16
BARSTARS
     Keith.........123
     Samuel.......99
HARRISON
     Kathleen....193
     Marcelous..184
(And so on...)

Ok, the above portion is not too difficult. But, can anyone tell me how to
put together two more indexes in the same document please? The are "Location
Index, "and "Employment / Pastime Index." Example (Made up):

Location Index
Kentucky, Louisville
     Births
          BROWN
              Franklin....55
              George....123
          FIELDS
              Matthew....52
     Marriages
          Fischer
              Charles.....33
          Lamonts
              Denise......28
Tennessee, Memphis
     Deaths
          FOSTER
              Charles
Tennessee, Nashville
     Births
          THOMAS
              Joyce
And so on.....

The employment pastime is the trickiest and hardest. But I hope someone can
help.

Employment / Pastime Index
COIN COLLECTING
     Tennessee
          Knoxville
              O'Scanlon, David
          Nashville
          Purcell, Richard
FARMER
     Kentucky
          Christian County
              Markswell, Julian
              Runyon, William
          Lees County
              Hawkins, James
              Nunnley, Joseph
              Stillwell, William
IBM
     Florida
          Boca Raton
              Dunsmore, Steve
              Livingsmill, Helena
     Texas
          Houston
              Anderson, Paul

??? Possible to do in Word 2000? Or do I need to seriously invest in
indexing software?

Thank you, everyone.

Robert
