Hello all,
I hope everyone is doing well.?? I need help trimming and sorting data in
excel.....?
I'm at a client and?they use a program called "QAD"?to maintain Accounting
records, inventory, etc...? I created a report in QAD and then did "text to
columns" and recreated that same report in excel...?? In the column where?I
need to sort the data (trying to sum up total value of?outstanding checks),?I
need to "trim" some hidden characters out of the cells, because I cannot align
the data, or sum the data when?I highlight the cells.? I've tried using the
trim function, but that did not work.? Does anyone have any recommendations?
So once?I get the data trimmed, I need to sort the data.?? I know that in excel
2007 you can sort by color, does any one know if you can do something similar
in 2003??(I had a listing of outstanding checks,?went through that listing and
highlighted all checks that have cleared the?bank.??I am now trying trying to
sum up the remaining?outstaning checks / unhighlighted cells).
Thanks for your time,
Chris
