I assume the small arrow symbol you're talking about is the line break (I
think it's called), that you get with shift-enter in Word?
If so, its code in find/replace is ^l. (Note that that's a lower case L,
not the numeral "one".)
Normally, it's not a great idea to simply convert all line breaks into
paragraph breaks. Better is to remove them and let Word do paragraph
wrapping for you. However, you need to detect pairs of ^l^l and convert
them to paragraph breaks; you also need to make sure that the ^l is
converted to a space if there isn't already one preceding it.
