[mso] Re: Terri's Add to Address book question (was Competing list [OT])

It IS confusing! Today I added a friend and KNOW she's in there, but
I'll be damnned if I can find it again and it won't show up in my
suggestions!<grrrr>

They obviously have a few, ahem, issues to work out!

Well...that's what I thought....but Greg said the feature is there by
default in 2002 and the "feature" we were discussing at the time was the
feature that allows you to tell Outlook to add all you reply to, to your
Addressbook, which is what Terri was looking for

So....can you blame a gal for getting confused? LOL

>If you never open your contacts, why do you LIKE that all these
addresses were added automatically for you?

But part of the point here is that they're NOT really added to your
"Contact" list. In Outlook 2002 you can type a name and it'll suggest a
bunch of names, many you don't remember. But then check your Contact
list and you'll see that they're NOT in there. They're in this nickname
list that tries to OFFER SUGGESTIONS.

I rarely ever look at my contact list either and am sometimes surprised
to remember I DO have someone's name in there. But I've also been happy
to occasionally attempt to write to one person and notice someone else's
name offered...someone whose email I thought I no longer had!

So I like the new feature, too...FOR THE MOST PART. The only think I
complain about is that the list of nicknames isn't easily controllable.
Trying to get the mousetax name off it was a PITA! If I could control it
better, it would be a very helpful feature.

Next version! ;-)
