Yes you can do this.  You would need to use sumifs for col B (or sumproduct)
and could use sumif for col C

but the condition belongs to 2nd sheet

e.g. in sheet 1 i have same names as in sheet 2, in sheet 2 there is data
like Name,Amount,Tag (Name(a coloumn= same name as sheet 1, Amount(b
coloumn)=Figre in rs, Tag(c column)=Dir or sub)

in sheet 1 in A coloumn there is name , i need sum of amount with direct tag
in column B and of sub in column C,I need sum of amount
