[mso] Re: Split fields in Access? Possible?

I could be wrong, but I don't think Access has the text-to-columns feature
like Excel. But, since Access tables export so easily into Excel, why not
just export the table into Excel, then use the text-to-column thing there,
then import the table back into Access?

That's what I would do and probably have the problem solved before an Access
expert even reads this email ;-)

Subject: [mso] Split fields in Access? Possible?

In Excel, there is a text to columns options that allows the user to split
information in one cell across several cells. That is, if A1 contains:
United States, Florida, Dade County, Miami

You can break that up so that cells
A1 contains United States
B1 contains Florida
C1 contains Dade County
D1 contains Miami

Is there a way to accomplish something like this in Access?

Thank you.

Robert
