Sorry, I misread your message. Since virus writers can write viruses to
activate when an e-mail is opened, I'm sure it can be done, but it is beyond
the capability of Outlook to accomplish this.

Thanks but not exactly what I meant.  I don't want sounds when I receive
email.  I want to send a sound to someone and have the sound play when the
email is opened by that person.

I know how to send a sound that the recipient would have to open
manually...wanted something automatic.

I'd already done a search of Microsoft's Knowledge base but couldn't find
anything.  Thought all you really smart people might know something.
