I think that article refers to Outlook attached to an Exchange server Don.

John, if I read you right and all you want to do is use the one data store
for both machines, then:
1. Decide which machine the .pst will reside on.
2. Share the folder that the .pst file lives in.
3. On second machine, start OL, File > Open Outlook data file > browse to
share on first machine.
4. Open the .pst file.

BUT... be aware:
1. With the pre-OL2003 PST file format, there is a higher risk of corrupting
the data store when using it over a LAN.

2. Rules probably won't fire correctly on the remote machine.

A simple alternative:

Use Remote Desktop in XP to access and use OL on the first machine...

If I'm barking up the wrong tree, then please fell free to correct me... ;-)
