Thank you for your reply to my query, I will take your suggestions on board
and see what will come out of it. You are correct in that it is the ECDL
exams.

Paul,

Is this European Computer Driving Licence, module 7?  If so, contact BCS and
explain the problem.  If they haven't got an answer, they must be asked to
modify the exam for this student.  It is against the law to discriminate on
the grounds of disability and your situation would seem to come under that
heading.

If it's not ECDL, then the same law still applies to any similar
qualification.  I would contact the examining body and ask them to devise a
test which covers the appropriate items of the syllabus satisfactorily.

We haven't yet had any blind or partially-sighted students yet but I have no
doubt we shall eventually.
