[mso] Scrolling with Page Preview in Word 2003

I'm experiencing what I hope is a simple thing for someone here to help
me with. When I use Page Preview to review my document (using Word
2003) I use my Microsoft mouse with a scroll wheel to move through the
pages. When I first open the Word doc and go through it as I just
described, all seems fine...if I have Page Preview set to view 1 page at
a time, the scroll wheel moves me through 1 page at a time. If I have
Page Preview set to view 2 pages at a time, scrolling moves me 2 pages
at a time. But at some point for a reason I can't figure out, the
scrolling changes. With Page Preview still set to 2 pages, for example,
when I scroll I move not 2 pages at a time but maybe 4 or 6 at a time.
Or if Page Preview is set to view 1 page at a time, scrolling changes to
move maybe 3 pages at a time.

Any clues about what might be causing this behavior?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Diane
