[mso] Saving pdf into word?

I have an pdf file that I am trying to save so I can pull it up in word. 
According to the help files in Acrobat (I have the full version 5.0 of 
Acrobat...not just Reader) this can be done by chosing File>save as>[choose 
rtf]>save.....but it does not work. 

Any suggestions?
