Hello mso,

Please re-direct me to the appropriate place for help with this, if
  this is not it.

I want to be able to remove all/some users ability to delete Word
  documents.

The MS KB article 'KB 277867' says "The minimum permission setting needed...is
modify" but this implies that the user also have delete permissions.

Is there some kind of work-around for this, or can anyone offer me a
few ideas how to achieve want I want?

  Thanks...
