No problem. First, you can't just type in those curly brackets. This is
a field. You can use the Insert-Field dialogue, but the easiest way is
to type it into your document directly. You need to start by hitting
CTRL+F9 which will inset a set of empty field brackets for you. Then
just type inside what you see within the brackets below.

Subject: [mso] RE 2 questions
Ray or others,
I also would like to try and use the c with the overline. I have
installed equation 3.0 and tried what you suggest, but I have a problem.
How do you enter the overstrike? I don't have access to insert, when
I'm using the equation 3.0 in office 2000, or I don't understand.
Also, do I enter the "{}" or is it like excel it appears like array
formulas??
Could you give a more detailed explanation for my first attempt to use
it.
THANKS
