[mso] Re: Publisher Document - To large to email

Thank you for helping me with this problem. Whew, I can see right now, that
this has caused a hornets nest. LOL

I appreciate everything everyone has done for me. I'm tellin' ya one thing...
I've already changed my camera's resolution settings back for good. :o))
Thanks again, Sallie

  Hi Sallie,

What seems to have happened, is that as you have increased the 'clarity'
(resolution) of the photo's, you've inadvertently increased the size of
each image dramatically. The increase in size is often close to
exponential, so for example, doubling the 'clarity' or resolution can
increase the size of the image file by ten times.
This is always a juggling act when dealing with a document with lots of
  images in it.

I don't think just zipping the file will give you the kind of
  compression you need.

As someone else has suggested, you will have to go through and change
each image manually. To do that, you might try software like
  'Irfranview' (free and downloadable here
  <http://www.webattack.com/dlnow/dlnow.dll?Inc=No&ID=101840>).
With that, you will be able to play with the resolution and the amount
of compression applied to each .jpg file.
You will be able to see the size of the file before and after each
  change...

But it sounds like you have a lot of images in that file, and you may
never get the size of the publication down to an acceptable size while
maintaining acceptable quality in the images.
You might try and split the document into two or more sections and email
  those separately.

  Hope that helps.
