Thanks Mary,
With your help, I finally got the 5x7 landscape size when published as PDF
and XLS files. I'm surprised, though, that the Publisher page definition
doesn't get passed on when publishing to these filetypes.
However, for some reason, the third problem remains, that is, the
"transparent" .PNG isn't transparent when publishing as a PDF.
Here's an interesting point. I transferred the PUB file from the XP machine
to a machine running Vista and Publisher 2007, and it does publish properly.
Humph!!!!
I did find this article: _http://support.microsoft.com/kb/825924_
(http://support.microsoft.com/kb/825924) and will try it's solution when I
next get the
chance.
Thanks again for the help
Larry

I'm not seeing your issue. Are you using the Office PDF add-on?
File, Publish as PDF or XPS. Change button, Print Options button,
Scroll down to 5 x 7 Landscape.
