Thanks to both you and Linda - I tried her method and it works.  Yours is
similar, but I can't find the default workbook template.

You need to apply the change to a blank workbook, then save that workbook as
your default workbook template. This is Excel's equivalent of Word's Normal
template (and much under used!).
