Vincent,
My first thought was that it might be one of the callout autoshapes. But
after playing, I think that Linda is closer with her idea. I think the thing
was created as follows:
A shape was placed on the slide. Then text boxes were added that over laid
the top of the shape as you described. Text was added to the text boxes.
Then, via format Text box, the fill for each text box was changed to
background. Finally, the text boxes and shape were grouped as Linda
mentioned.

Subject: [mso] Powerpoint auto shapes
I'm trying to duplicate an autoshape someone designed for a company logo
that has me confused. It's a rectangular shape. At the top left and bottom
right of the shape, there is a small portion of the line that is removed to
accommodate a text box containing text. Try as I might I can't seem to
figure out how to remove those small portions of the lines to accommodate
the text boxes. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Regards
Vince
