[mso] Re: Powerpoint auto shapes

Interesting question. The reason I concluded it was an autshape was because
(I'm using either PPT XP and '03) it has the handles including the one that
will allow rotation. If it's a different kind of box then I sure would like
to know how to construct it.

In answer to the 2nd part, it may be that the text box blocks out the line
on the one I'm copying, but right now I've placed the text box on the line,
think I have the background set to white, yet still see the line.

Thanks for your help.

Vince

Are you sure the portion of the line is "removed" or is it actually not a
box, but rather four lines that *look* like a box that aren't connected?
Or, maybe the textbox is just placed on top of the autoshape and has a fill
the same color as the background of the page so it blocks out that part of
the autoshape?

I'm trying to duplicate an autoshape someone designed for a company logo
that has me confused. It's a rectangular shape. At the top left and bottom
right of the shape, there is a small portion of the line that is removed to
accommodate a text box containing text. Try as I might I can't seem to
figure out how to remove those small portions of the lines to accommodate
the text boxes. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
