Are you sure the portion of the line is "removed" or is it actually not a
box, but rather four lines that *look* like a box that aren't connected?
Or, maybe the textbox is just placed on top of the autoshape and has a fill
the same color as the background of the page so it blocks out that part of
the autoshape?

I'm trying to duplicate an autoshape someone designed for a company logo
that has me confused. It's a rectangular shape. At the top left and bottom
right of the shape, there is a small portion of the line that is removed to
accommodate a text box containing text. Try as I might I can't seem to
figure out how to remove those small portions of the lines to accommodate
the text boxes. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
