If all of your templates and backgrounds are in the same folder, Windows
makes this pretty easy for you to do. When you are in the Open window to
select your background, click the dropdown arrow for the Views button (it
looks like a list of files). From the list, select Thumbnails. That should
help. (One other hint: From within that same dialog box/window, you can
change the file names so that you remember what they are. When I put a
template or background on my hard drive, I immediately change the name to
something that tells me both where I got the template from and what the
template looks like.)

In Paint Shop, there is a feature called Browse which will list all the
graphic files in a folder thumbnailed for you. I have collected several
blank background for Powerpoint, but did not pay any attention to the name
as it was downloaded. A name like "K4Snx9qBlue" is meaningless to me,
except that it is probably blue. <g>
Can/will Powerpoint open several one page files at the same time so the
user can look for the background s/he is trying to find?
Thank you.
Robert
