Hey Sallie...what version of PowerPoint are you using now? I'm sure the
conference will be using 2002 at least, and maybe 2003, which is very
different from what I tought you in 2000.

PowerPoint is the one program that changed drastically when Office XP came
out...as a matter of fact, it changed so much I had to rewrite my PowerPoint
ebook so I could offer the ebook to both PowerPoint 2000/97 users and
PowerPoint 2002/2003 users.

I am now including both versions in my online classes, but the ebooks are
separate...but since you did take my class, if you would like to see the
differences in 2002, I would gladly send you the info to download the new
version of my ebook for free.

For anyone else, it's 20 bucks...but for you, since you are going to the
conference, I'd be happy to make an exception...just write to me privately
if you want it and I will send you the info to download it.

Subject: [mso] PowerPoint Live Conference

Greeting,
I was getting ready to write a note to see who all, out of this group, is
going to the PPT Live Conference, when I noticed that Scott Jones, Kathy
Jacobs and Echo Swinford are going. Me too. One of my sister's lives in
Tucson, so I'll be staying with her.
I had played around with Power Point in the past, and then took Linda's
on-line course and have played around with it since. I hope we don't have
to be really advanced to be coming to the conference. I have signed up also
for 2 of the courses on Sunday, so hopefully the crash course will help me
feel not too embarrassed. :o))

I don't have a laptop - so can you all tell me if this is going to cause a
problem? I've read that a lot don't bring them, but wanted to make sure.
Also, do you know if it's okay to bring a recorder to help me
remember.............. :o))

Thanks,
Sallie Bourgeois,
