[mso] PowerPoint: Button Up/Down ?

In PowerPoint 2003 (yes, it is 2003), can I easily program so that it will
do the following?
Mouse NOT over: Show Button A
Mouse over button: Show Button B (looks like A, except depressed)
On mouse click, go to Slide X
I was told you could, but the book I am reading does not mention it.
