Shyam posted this to the PPT newsgroup in March. Let me know if it is what
you are looking to do or if you can make it do what you want:
To make the shape pivot across an edge:
1. Create a shape with no file and line with the same dimensions as the
original shape.
2. Align it end to end and group it.
3. Then apply the spin animation with desired angle of swing
(autoreverse/repeat as applicable).
The Shape will spin with the join of the two shapes as the center, giving
the impression that the shape is pivoting across the edge.

Subject: [mso] PowerPoint 2002 Custom Animation
I have a round clock on my slide that I would like to apply animation to
make the clock swing side to side (in a tick tock motion). I don't want the
whole clock to move, just swing a little to the left, then back to center,
to the right, and then back to center. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thank you.
