Linda, thanks for your help. I was able to get what I needed with a
minimum of fuss, although more than I would have wanted. I also found
this article, which described the problem I was having and the cause.
Apparently it's the way the data is arranged, which, unfortunately, in
this case, is not something I have control over. The data is from
another source, that is used for another purpose, therefore, it has to
be arranged the way it is, I was just using it for my purposes, and
now I know why it would act like I thought it should of.
